– Becky / USA - http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g292025-d2370845-Reviews-La_Hamaca_Hostel-San_Pedro_Sula.htmlI’m an American living in Tela, so occasionally I stay in San Pedro. Out of all the places to stay in San Pedro, La Hamaca has been the best for me. Firstly, it’s in a safe part of town and the effort they have taken to assure security (camera, really secure gate, etc.) made me feel really comfortable. Secondly, the vibe and atmosphere there is much better than the other options in San Pedro. I stayed at Tamarind (tamarindo?) once, and the atmosphere just felt cold. At La Hamaca I found the staff and all the guests to be super friendly and laid-back. Anything we needed (transportation, bar and restaurant recommendations, outdoor trip planning, etc.) they helped us with. The staff speaks perfect English and Spanish. Thirdly, they offer fun, outdoorsy trips to the most beautiful places in Honduras. Fourthly, my stay was really affordable. I’m definitely staying there again next time I’m in San Pedro.
– James / USA - http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g292025-d2370845-Reviews-La_Hamaca_Hostel-San_Pedro_Sula.htmlThis Hotel is absolutely the best experience you could ever dream of. Between Juan and the staff as well as amazing accommodations this is a can’t miss opportunity. Staying here and spending a week taking tours with Juan would be the best vacation you could ever have. I am a world traveler and after this stay I am already planning to go back.
– Molly / USA - http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g292025-d2370845-Reviews-La_Hamaca_Hostel-San_Pedro_Sula.htmlI traveled with a group of friends to Honduras last year and on the second day of our trip Juan Carlos (owner) picked us up and took us to the most amazing places. They can show you parts of Honduras that few have experienced. You have to see some the pics to understand. We only spent a few days with them and our only regret was that we didn’t book our ENTIRE stay with them. The friendliest people you will meet and they provided us a safe way to travel and experience Honduras. They gave us advice for the rest of our trip and even helped us out when our driver (private driver not associated with La Hamaca) got lost and he called for help. La Hamaca’s goal is not only to provide an amazing experience for their guest but also to promote how wonderful Honduras is (and they do an amazing job of both). I never travel to the same place twice and as we speak I’m checking out flights to go back to Honduras and stay at La Hamaca.
